Meet our dedicated healthcare professionals.
My motivation to study osteopathy came from a desire to help people live their best lives.
Having personally experienced life-changing relief from chronic pain after receiving osteopathic treatment, I want others to know the same experience.
Julia Carlé is experienced and committed to improving the health and well-being of her patients.
Helping people improve their health and wellbeing is hugely rewarding to me and I thoroughly enjoy getting to know my patients as people.

Nick brings with him his unique background as a snowboard freestyle coach (Coach for the New Zealand youth development team).
This experience has helped hone his ability to understand human movement at a high level, applying this to all levels of function and ability.
In his practice, Nick has experience using hands-on therapies as well as exercise, education and lifestyle modification. This approach has contributed to successful patient outcomes as well as recovery from his own injuries. Nick employs a range of manual therapy techniques, such as gentle manipulations, articulation, stretching and soft tissue techniques. These may transition into personalised exercise, strength, or mobility routines, ensuring ongoing progress.
Embracing a person-centred approach, the balance of modalities is determined collaboratively with the patient. It's important to note that Nick excludes neck manipulations from his practice.
Beyond the clinic, Nick regularly enjoys trail running, gym, surfing and piano. He welcomes patients that are ready to collaborate and work towards their specific goals.

Helping people improve their health and wellbeing is hugely rewarding to me and I thoroughly enjoy getting to know my patients as people.
My decision to become an Osteopath was built upon a deep interest in muscles and how the body functions. I am committed to all my patients who book a consultation with me.
As a mother of three, I am kept very busy spending time with my children when not treating my patients. My experiences as a mother influences my special interest areas being pregnancy, Women's Health, infants and children.

Julia Carlé is experienced and committed to improving the health and well-being of her patients. Since training at the British School of Osteopathy, she has developed a reputation for providing personalised care and effective treatment.
Julia's journey to becoming an osteopath has been shaped by her personal experience with breast cancer. Having gone through extensive treatment, Julia brings a unique perspective to her practice and a deep understanding of the physical and emotional challenges that come with it.
With a special interest in women's health, particularly post breast cancer treatment, Julia believes in taking a holistic approach to treatment.
She works closely with patients of all ages, including babies, to develop individualised and comprehensive plans that address their unique needs and concerns. Her gentle and compassionate approach has earned her a loyal patient following.
In addition to working with patients, Julia is a dedicated educator and supervisor at Te Pukenga / Ara Student Osteopathic clinic. When not treating patients or working with students, you can find her behind the sewing machine. She is a (average at best!) seamstress and enjoys creating clothing for her family. She is a devoted mother to two boys and understands the challenges of balancing work and family life.
Whether you are seeking relief from pain or want to improve your overall health and well-being, Julia is here to help.

My approach to osteopathy stems from the belief that our bodies possess a remarkable ability to self-heal. When problems interfere with healing, osteopathy can help by providing the right support. Motivation for me is seeing results that allow my patients to flourish. I am committed to making a difference to every patient I see no matter their story.
I enjoy treating people of any age and from all walks of life. My special interests include pelvic pain and headaches, as well as paediatrics and pregnancy/post-partum care. I am also committed to the treatment and management of hypermobility/EDS.
I have extensive post graduate training in visceral osteopathy through the Barral institute, which has provided me with a wide range of techniques to help my patients with. Primarily I have a gentle approach to treatment, however I am open to other treatment styles depending on the needs of each patient.
Currently I am studying a diploma in canine osteopathy through Animal Osteopathy International, and I am available to treat dogs as a manual therapist.
Alongside caring for my patients and continuing further post-graduate education, I can be found at the beach, spending time with my pups, listening to live music and enjoying good food.

My motivation to study osteopathy came from a desire to help people live their best lives. This led me to complete a Bachelor of Musculoskeletal Health and Post Graduate Diploma in Osteopathy.
Previously I studied a range of therapeutic techniques which continue to help improve the lives of my patients. This included CranioSacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute.
Presently, I am studying to be an Equine Osteopath through Animal Osteopathy International which I hope to complete in 2025.
I specialise in the very gentle, intuitive, energetic techniques which work with the body’s incredible ability to self-heal. This is one of the four principles of osteopathy and is why the impact of osteopathy on quality of life can be truly remarkable.
I live in Christchurch with my husband where we raised our four children – who will always be our greatest accomplishment. When I’m not assisting my patients, I choose to be with my horses or out enjoying nature.
